Zara Phillips Wears Diamond Tiara Passed On By The Queen For Weekend Wedding

We love Kate Middleton. Obvi. She wows us with her consistency of grace and repeat fashion hits. But yesterday wasn’t about Kate. (What a shame).

A different royal wedding happened across the pond between Prince William’s cousin, Zara Phillips and England Rugby captain, Mike Tindall.

And although some of us can only pray that our bank account flourishes when our wedding day accessory needs comes around, the bride’s main choice of attention was on the diamond tiara, known as the Meander Tiara, that has circulated within The Royal Family for the last four generations. Follow this: The tiara was originally given to Queen Elizabeth by her mother-in-law, Princess Alice of Batternberg, which was then passed onto Zara’s mother, Princess Anne in 1972 (since the queen could spare one of her bazillion crows and never wore it in public anyway). Finally this weekend, the diamond tiara was stunningly worn by Zara for her wedding.
