Well played Zappos, well played.
He complained that Hsieh is trying to sell people a “sh*t product.” So, Zappos responded, telling West what they can do with his own “sh*t product.”
West spoke Bret Easton Ellis on Monday and did talk about his other ventures in the fashion world, reports E! News. But he had nothing nice to say about Hsieh and Zappos.
“I got into this giant argument with the head of Zappos that he’s trying to tell me what I need to focus on,” West said. “Meanwhile, he sells all this sh*t product to everybody, his whole thing is based off of selling sh*t product.”
On Wednesday, Zappos appeared to own up to Kanye’s labeling of the company, sort of.
On the retailer’s website, a “Zappos.com Gear Sh-t Product” was made available for sale with multi-angle pictures of a toilet and a plunger. Under item information, the website touts it as “the perfect gift for the man that has everything” and “‘Taylor’ made for ‘Swift’ cleaning.”
The website goes on with a tongue-in-cheek descriptor of Zappos as a whole using some of Kanye’s words.
“Interested in buying sh-t product? You’ve come to the right place! Here at Zappos.com, we happily sell sh-t products to everybody!” the description says.
The website lists the product for $100,000 and it comes in a “sh-t” size. Shipping is still free.
The ball is now in your court Kanye.
