Zachary Quinto approved of his (somewhat) guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory’s 100th episode on January 19th, but also talked about his decision to come out to Culture (via Digital Spy).

“I didn’t tell anybody I was going to do it. I didn’t tell my agent, I didn’t tell my business partners, I didn’t tell my publicists,” Quinto said. “It’s so funny, because obviously it was a huge decision for me, and I made it in a specific way.

“It was very much on my terms. But I never thought beyond the action of doing it. I never thought about the reaction it would generate. Honestly.”

As for Big Bang, Quinto found the episode to be quite funny.  Sheldon Cooper sent away from a cardboard cut-out of Dr. Spock from Stark Trek, and was greeted by Quinto character rather than Leonard Nimoy.  “Suck it,” Shelder said to the cardboard figure.  “We got a message back immediately from Zach [Quinto] and J.J. saying they loved the idea,” co-creator Bill Prady said, according to Ace Showbiz.

Quinto attended the 23rd Annual Producers Guild Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 21st.
