William & Catherine To Aid In Famine Relief With The Crown Prince And Princess Of Denmark
TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will fly to Denmark’s UNICEF emergency center next Wednesday, November 2nd to help pack boxes of food and medical supplies for famine-stricken individuals in East Africa, according to the Daily Mail. The region has suffered its worst drought in 50 years, knocking out essential food supplies.
William and Catherine will be joined by The Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Denmark, Frederick and Australian-born Mary, also quite popular in Europe for their modern-day love story. Frederick met Mary at a pub in Sydney during the Summer 2000 Olympics. Commoners and royalty, hurrah!
Palace officials told the Mail, “The couple are seeking to use their joint profile to focus global attention on the terrible situation in East Africa and help push the issue up the international agenda.” To make a donation to fight hunger, click here.
On a lighter note, William and Catherine will attend one of Gary Barlow’s solo shows at the Royal Albert Hall, which will raise funds for The Prince’s Trust and The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, according to the Daily Express.
Barlow is a member of Take That, of which Catherine is said to be a big fan. She was famously spotted singing along to their hit, “Back For Good” when Take That performed at the Concert For Diana in July of 2007. She sat in William’s VIP box at Wembley Stadium when they were secretly “back on” after splitting a few months earlier.
