The whole Windsor gang was at Greenwich Park in London today (July 31st) to watch Team GB (and their horsies) take home silver in the Equestrian event.
Zara Phillips, daughter of Olympian Princess Anne, is a member of the team and told journalists how encouraging it was to have a royal cheering squad in the stands. ”It’s incredible, it gives you a massive lift as you come into the arena,” Phillips said after the competition. ”We’re really grateful to everyone who’ve come here to cheer us on.”
Phillips’ one-year wedding anniversary was yesterday, but the celebrations will have to be delayed until after the Princess Royal places silver around her daughters neck.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Peter Phillips (Zara’s older brother) and his wife, Autumn, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were all gathered to cheer their cousin on.
Catherine wore her Smythe navy blazer ($595) over a nautical striped tank top with skinny jeans and navy wedges. Pinned to her lapel was an Olympic button. William and Harry both wore Team GB Adidas polos, which the heir covered with a blazer when the temperature called for it.
The Duchess is scheduled to watch tennis at Wimbledon on Thursday (August 2nd) and and hockey at Olympic Park on Saturday, (August 4th).
Can we take a moment to admire Catherine’s hair? Just take it all in- the curls, the highlights, the bounciness. It’s all so regal and magical and the stuff of dreams.
