We’re a little blue that Steve Carell is leaving The Office after seven seasons, but I have a spot of good news to soften the blow. Will Ferrell has signed on for a four-episode arc! Ferrell will play a branch manager at Dunder Mifflin who is just as off-color as Michael Scott, according to Deadline New York. As part of the deal, Ferrell will stay on for one episode after Carell’s departure to help us adjust to life without Scott. NBC has not confirmed when the episodes will air, but Ferrell is definitely part of the farewell tour. I would not be disappointed if Ferrell used Ron Burgundy as his character. Not disappointed in the least.
Is it me or does Ferrell just always look pleasant? He was spotted leaving BBC Radio 1 studios in London last December, and he just seems to have a congenial air about him.
