Catherine And William To Light The 2012 Olympic Torch? [VIDEO]

Both the U.K. and the royal family are having the best year ever, and it stands to get even better with the 2012 Summer Olympics exactly one year away.  Since London will host the games, Prime Minister David Cameron was joined by Princess Anne, Princess Royal to unveil the gold medals in Trafalgar Square, according to the BBC.   The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are favored to light the torch on the first day of the Olympics, which would be AWESOME.

Next year the Commonwealth will also celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s “Diamond Jubilee,” marking 60 years on the throne.  Huge year for the House of Windsor. Big, ginormous year.  And if HRH Catherine happens to be with child/heir, that would be just delightful.

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cambridge headed to the Sandringham Flower Show in Sandringham, England to check out country ish and crochet displays of the royal wedding.  Judging from the pictures, it looked like your standard state fair (save for the lack of odd-looking carnies and fried dough stands.  There are royals present, after all).

That same day, the Prince Of Wales hopped on an eco-bike at the Earth Awards Exhibition at Clarence House, the prince’s official London residence.  Steady on, old boy!

Check out a video below of the Duchess and Her Majesty viewing THE royal wedding dress before Buckingham Palace’s summer exhibition opened to the public last week.  And make sure to come back here for Zara Phillips’ wedding to Mike Tindall this Saturday, to take place in Edinburgh, Scotland.
