Which Of Duchess Catherine’s Looks In 2011 Was Your Favorite?

December 30th, 2011 // 6 Comments

SOCIALITE LIFE had a blast following the fashions of HRH Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge this year.  The new royal wore everything from Alexander McQueen to Zara, but would you be able to choose your favorite look of hers from 2011?

We’ve laid out pretty much every outfit Catherine was photographed in this year (and there were A LOT).  She wasn’t afraid to wear color (the purple Issa dress in Canada) nor was she too shy to show off that tiny little waist.

We want to burst into tears every time we look back at her McQueen wedding dress, but then get distracted by another stunning look (and her ever-growing jewelry collection).

So what’s it going to be? A look from Catherine’s North American tour with hubby Prince William?  Her custom-made McQueen gown for the royal wedding’s evening reception? Sound off!

PS-Once again, we couldn’t have done any of this without the help of What Kate Wore, our Middleton go-to when a little fashion research was necessary.

Catherine, you can do better than this! This dress is for an elderly, matronly soul.

Perfection in every way….colour, cut, and fit.

Very demur, plain, and unfinished looking. The Queen Mum and the Queen have a secret for preventing fly-aways, they have their dressmakers put little weights in the bottom of their hems. You should try this….very unroyal to see your bum on the runway.

Okay, when you wore the red dress that would have looked good on an elderly person, that was a mistake. But when you attend an event unescorted by your husband, on behalf of the Prince of Wales, you should consider covering up a bit more and if you insist on wearing something strappy, then at least make sure it fits snugly. Looks like there’s room for two in the top of this gown.

I always wondered when Princess Diana wore outfits with a “military” look if this bothered the military. Somehow, it seems akward that when you’re not in the military, that out of respect, one should not try to emulate the military look; which looks a bit cheeky.

The young royals are a breath of spring, of good things to come in GB and the world! Their poise and genuine demeanor reflect hope in a troubled world. Long live the Monarchy.
