After spending Christmas with the Middleton family in Berkshire, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were driven three hours to the Queen’s Sandringham estate for Boxing Day on Wednesday.
The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, though, joined everyone for a hearty lunch at Wood’s Farm, where a meal of various cheeses, soups and hot toddies were served.
The Daily Mail reports that most of the Windsors were together for shooting day, except for the Duchess of Cornwall, who spent the day with her grandchildren at her Wiltshire home.
The royal couple will spend New Year’s at Birkhall the Balmoral estate owned by the royal family.
Next month, it is expected that St. James’s Palace will announce whether William will continue on as search-and-rescue pilot with the RAF, or take on royal duties full-time when his tour of duty ends next September.
The palace, it is believed, will also announce the Duchess of Cambridge’s due date.
