Mark Burnett Productions, the company responsible for the highly successful reality franchises, Survivor, The Apprentice and Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, just to name a few, is holding a contest for the 2008 MTV Movie Awards. Those of you aspiring filmmakers out there might want to pay close attention.

The 2008 MTV Movie Spoof Contest is offering regular schmoes the opportunity to submit a 3-minute spoof of a nominated movie for the chance to be flown out to LA to attend the 2008 MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Mike Meyers, at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA on June 1st. Also, if selected, your spoof would be up for competition for a chance to win a golden popcorn. (Cue the shaft of sunlight to shine mystically on you as you’re reading this.)
