I don’t know quite what to make of these odd pictures of Victoria Beckham in the new issue of German Vogue. I think the cover shot is gorgeous, and I love the shot with the thick eyebrows and wrist tattoo, but then the bad wig, the sad looking playground Donald Duck, a hose shot that seems like a farce, and lying around a dilapidated house full of hoarded items that could be Lindsay Lohan’s in twenty years… I don’t get pulled in at all. (Def don’t believe she would put half a donut and cigs in her body, but that’s different.)
Victoria, who stars in a new LG commercial with friend Eva Longoria which focuses on her career as a designer, was chosen for the magazine’s May denim issue because of her new career and denim line. Inside the magazine she says “On the stage, I was able to hide myself behind my four colleagues; for my designs, I am very alone responsible…I have had to prove myself. But that’s a good thing – everybody has to prove themselves, not just me.”
Celebs are huge fans of her dress line, and while she doesn’t feel she has to prove herself as much as she used to she is looking to the future.
“I want to grow as a designer, I want to learn the techniques and do more and more.”I feel more confident in myself because I feel fulfilled, creatively and professionally. I’ve still got a long way to go, but I feel very happy.”
