Tyra Banks Goes Ivy League
When Tyra Banks walked off the the runway in 2003, who knew she would wind up on the steps of Harvard University? The model-turned-mogul is enrolled in an elite buisness management program designed for extremely sucessful and busy entrepreneurs. Tyra and her fellow students spend three weeks on campus every year for three years. Tyra thinks the program will help maintain her empire, in an interview with CBS, Banks said,
Now I can say what’s the net present value on that. What’s the discounted cash flows of that, and that’s because of Harvard.
Along with this program comes along a hefty price tag of $31,000 a year , however we all know Tyra can manage. In 2009, Forbes listed Banks as the highest paid woman in prime time, with an income of $30 million annually. Some other celebrities who attended Harvard include Natalie Portman and Conan O’Brien.
Banks was born in South-Central Los Angeles and was admitted to both UCLA and USC, however she choose to model on the runways of New York and Paris. Next week, the mogul will be adding a website to her media empire. The website, TypeF, will feature beauty and fashion advice for women.
