Two For the Money

As loosely as the term designer has been thrown around lately I am beginning to dread the constant fusillade of celebrities who are taking the road of collection creations. As reports of star powered creations in the fashion industry are falling (with a few exceptions such as Gwen’s L.A.M.B) it isn’t stopping anyone from getting their piece of the haute pie.

Remember Coolio? The curly haired “Dangerous Minds” guy? Well our Gangsta’s Paradise prodigy manages to resurface with a line of his own thanks to Paolo Rubin, which is his Italian Manufacturing biz partner. The line is denim focused with urban flair to tempt a younger target consumer. It is fitted with a name that says it all….Gang*Star. Of course the collection features fur boots, fitted jeans, and furry boots and caters to both men and women.

Clive Owen is also dipping his fingers into the fashion and beauty industry. He landed a spokesman campaign with Lancôme. The make up and beauty product owned by L’Oreal has signed Clive to represent the male audience as the face of the campaign. An event planned in Paris for this evening is said to be his official presentation to the press.
