‘True Grit’ Premieres To Acclaim Despite Golden Globes Snubs

The stars of True Grit didn’t seem phased by the complete lack of Golden Globe nominations when the movie premiered in New York City yesterday. Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges would have seemed like prime candidates for Best Actor but were all smiles despite the lack of recognition for the film.

The Coen Brothers film is a remake of the 1960s John Wayne classic, certified 94% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and considered to be a major Oscar contender. Like I said before, people, they’re just basing these things on attractiveness now, and I guess Colin Firth and Ryan Gosling edged out Jeff Bridges…or the wrong straws got pulled or something.
