You may recognize Tom Hardy in films like Inception and Warrior, but this year this rising star is about to make a serious name for himself, starring in big named movies such as, The Dark Knight Rises, Lawless with Shia LaBeouf, and This Means War alongside Reese Witherspoon!

The actor will star alongside Christian Bale as evil villain Bane in The Dark Knight Rises and although the movie is expected to hit new records at the box office, Hardy says fame is not important to him.

He told Vulture:

If people start treating me differently, then maybe I’ll start to treat them differently! I hope that every engagement is just as amicable as it normally is. Maybe it’s a little ambitious of me to presume that no matter how big the film is, that I can always go down to the shop to buy a pint of milk. I don’t think that anything should really be allowed to interfere with that, and it would be silly of me not to make the effort to go down to the shop to buy a pint of milk because I thought I was too big or too famous to do that. And it’s certainly not a lesson that I want to give to my son! Fame and stuff like that is all very cool, but at the end of the day, we’re all human beings.

As for his beard, it’s for his upcoming role in Mad Max. It took him five whole months to grow it out, and the actor jokingly admitted that if he does need to hide from paparazzi, he can hide behind his beard!
