Last night filmmakers, producers and guests joined more than a thousand attendees from the visual effects industry for the sold-out gala which honored Christopher Nolan with the inaugural VES Visionary Award and Ray Harryhausen with the Lifetime Achievement Award. A dapper Tom Hardy was on hand to present the Visionary Award to Nolan.
It was a good night for Nolan, his film Inception won four awards at the ceremony including Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects Driven Motion Picture.
Nolan and Hardy, who is already geared up for the villainous role of Bane, are set to begin work on The Dark Knight Rises shortly.
Do you think Inception is going to take home the Oscar for visual effects? Sound off in the comments.
