The pair had flown to Australia earlier in the week to prepare for the competition, which was the 18-year-old’s first since winning an emotional bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympics.
In addition Tom also holds the title of European and World Series platform champion, in what has been a stellar year of dive competitions for the young heartthrob.
His teammate Jack, 17, clearly isn’t doing badly either, as he secured the individual three meter springboard yesterday on the first day of the World Junior Diving Championships.
Jack, who has been tipped as a future world champion by US diving legend Greg Louganis, has only just started training with Tom after the Olympics.
Although Tom doesn’t usually compete on the springboard, the pair of British athletes left their rivals trailing behind them with a massive score of 338.85.
The nearest challengers were the Russian team, but they trailed 30.83 points behind.
Congrats to the pair!
