Tina Fey Mock’s Sarah Palin’s Katie Curic Interview on SNL

September 28th, 2008 // 4 Comments

Tina Fey reprised her role as Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live, again appearing as the Republican vice presidential candidate in an opening sketch.

Amy Poehler played CBS’s Katie Couric, parodying the interview with Palin earlier this week. Poehler, though, mostly played straight man to Fey, who ratcheted up her performance of Sen. John McCain‘s running mate by satirizing her foreign affairs experience.

When Poehler’s Couric pushed Fey’s Palin to specifically discuss how she would help facilitate democracy abroad, Fey gave in: “Katie, I’d like to use one of my lifelines. … I want to phone a friend.”

When a confused Poehler informed her that that wasn’t how the interview worked, Fey’s Palin responded — alluding to one of the governor’s most quoted lines from the interview — “Well, in that case, I’m just gonna have to get back to ya.”

  2. Same old Stuff

Well this is getting pretty boring…. SNL is getting pretty boring
as well as the whole POLITICAL scene. Why don’t we just fired
them ALL and start from scratch… that’s the PRES on down as
well as the SNL staff and crew.

SNL….is on the money. This isn’t boring; It’s funny as h&*(&(&. But seriously, Palin is no joking matter and unfortunately Katie and the rest of the country knows it. She has no business being in a position to lead this country: Second in command and she can’t even handle an interview. She’s in way over her head and she knows it , Mcain knows it and the rest of the country knows it.

Failin’ Palin needs to pull out of the VP position now! What the hell is she thinking?? She is a complete moron and in no way qualified to run this country. If elected McSame will drop dead during his campaign and that dolt will be left to ruin what is left of this country. The American people are idiots if they even vote for these two.

    Pathetic!
