Tilda Swinton Honored By MOMA – Jessica Biel, Lorde And More Pay Tribute

New York society and then some came out last night (November 5, 2013) to attend the Museum of Modern Art 2013 Film benefit – A Tribute To Tilda Swinton in New York City. What a way for Tilda Swinton to celebrate her 53rd birthday! She got to hang out with Karl Lagerfeld, Anna Wintour, singer Lorde and a stunning Jessica Biel.

Jessica opted for a strapless cream dress, plus she added a set of gold fringe shoulder pads, which totally glammed up the look. Biel added a sweep of green eyeliner but otherwise kept her make-up simple and minimal.

Tilda Swinton, the guest of honor, looked her usual understated self in a pair of white flared trousers and an oatmeal knitted top, which she teamed with a pair of matching white heels.

“I’m a film nerd,” Swinton told the crowd, explaining her choice of career. “I continue to do it simply because I continue to believe that film is good for the soul.”

Ralph Fiennes, well-know for his portrayal of Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series spoke of the “wisdom and humor” in Swinton’s work. Although the actor only met Swinton recently he told her: “I think you shine a sharp and uncompromising beam onto your work.”
