February 21st, 2009 // 4 Comments

The prize for Best Male Lead went to Mickey Rourke and his film The Wrestler took the award for Best Feature. This is definitely welcome news for a guy who was dealt a heavy blow when he lost his beloved pet Chihuahua recently.

Star of Frozen River, Melissa Leo was awarded Best Lead, edging out Anne Hathaway in Rachel Getting Married. Vicky Cristina Barcelona won for Best Screenplay and its star Penelope Cruz was handed the trophy for Best Supporting Female.

Milk
screenwriter Dustin Lance Black won for Best First Screenplay and star James Franco is the actor who walked home with the Best Supporting Male award.
