The World Says Goodbye To Richard Pryor

December 20th, 2005 // 5 Comments

It was a star studded funeral, with Diana Ross (shown above) dressing down for the event.

Richard Pryor’s famous friends Diana Ross, Pauly Shore, George Lopez and Monique Imes-Jackson paid their respects to the late comedian at his funeral Saturday.

Ross, who appeared alongside Pryor in the films ‘The Wiz’ and ‘Lady Sings The Blues,’ attended the private ceremony in the Hollywood Hills, and sang “Amazing Grace” with the star’s family and friends.

Comedian Michael Epps, a close friend of Pryor’s says, “It was a sad and joyous occasion. It was the way I think Richard would have loved it to be, you know.”

“He would have loved to have seen the laughter and the pain also.”

And made fun of Diana Ross’ outfit.

  1. King Smart Ian

After all, funerals are about the living and their need for attention rather than blah blah blah about some dead guy

  2. Bestdress

Whoa what a outfit for the super Diva!
I would love audio of her singing Amazing Grace because I always imagine and have heard bigger voices on that song. Something like Mahalia Jackson or Aretha Franklin.

  3. Cheesy

Good thing Diana was able to get some time off from the Haunted Mansion–too bad she didn’t have time to get home to change out of her uniform.

  4. GirlyGirl

WTF is on her head???? That thing looks like shit Sally Field wore in The Flying Nun.

  5. tahlullah

I expected more sequins from Ms. Ross, or at least a boa.
