The Waitress Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival
Adrienne Shelly’s last film, “Waitress,” debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival with the film’s stars, with Keri Russell and Cheryl Hines making appearances on the red carpet. Emotions were running high, as the director’s absence at the premiere was noticeable for all those involved with the production of the film.
Cheryl Hines, who stars in the film, told the New York Daily News: “I have an extra extraordinary attachment to the movie because of Adrienne, but I really feel it’s a beautiful film and I think anybody who watches it is going to love it.”
And she told Newsweek: “Being a part of her life for a few months, I treasure that time. It’s impossible to watch the movie without thinking about her.”
I’ve heard good things about the film, and I rather like the sunny, tropical look that Keri Russell is rocking on the red carpet. This is so sad. I just at least hope “Waitress” does well. Now, I’m feeling all morose and unfunny…
