The Vanity Fair Party: 2010 Academy Awards

The legendary Vanity Fair post-Oscars party was held in the Sunset Tower Hotel last night and its one of the only places that Meryl Streep and Sean Combs might run into each other and have a warm exchange and Natalie Portman would fall into deep conversation with Macaulay Culkin.

The big winners of the night weren’t the only one’s garnering attention.  Hilary Swank was noticed in a yawzah dress opened in front to her belly button and a nice pendant necklace so everyone could pretend they were looking at her jewelry. The best accessories of the night were the Oscars themselves, and Jeff Bridges is so happy with his he isn’t even looking down Hilary’s dress.

Many ladies swapped their heavy gowns for lighter party dresses. Cameron Diaz took off her Oscar de la Renta for
another winning golden dress, but I was sad to see Elizabeth Banks change to basic black since I couldn’t get enough of her steel Versace gown. Amanda Seyfried and Jennifer Lopez also ditched their
billowing Armani Prive gowns for dresses with easier movement, Lopez in
a feathered black number and Seyfriend in a frilly green cocktail dress.

Vanessa Hudgens looked amazing in a Jenny Packham dress as she joined her heavily-coiffed boyfrind Zac Efron and Ryan Phillippe wandered in alone.  “I live close by and I got an invite so..” he told the Vanity Fair cameras.

Jessica Simpson showed up, perhaps hoping to continue her flirting marathon with Jeremy Renner and Victoria Beckham posed with her, showing off their one shoulder dresses.

Gabrielle Union looked absolutely stunning in yellow and Common and brought some much needed flash to the mens’ fashion.
