Max George of The Wanted has defended Lindsay Lohan, who was arrested last week after allegedly starting a violent nightclub brawl over him, and isn’t worried about the potential legal implications of her actions.
Max, seen here performing at the Jingle Ball in Los Angeles this past Monday night (December 3, 2012) in Los Angeles, CA, told TMZ, ”She’s fine. She’s out of trouble. She’s a good girl.”
Lindsay, 26, reportedly punched psychic palm reader Tiffany Mitchell at New York’s Avenue club last week before hurling racist insults at her because she was jealous when the handsome 24-year-old singer started talking to her.
Max previously insisted he wasn’t the root of the altercation, saying: ”It wasn’t me. I didn’t instigate anything. It was nothing to do with me.”
You probably should stick with that story Max.
Bandmate Jay McGuiness, who was also at the hotspot when it all went down, isn’t so sure of that sequence of events.
“It’s a bit of a blur actually, but some sort of scuffle with a fortune teller,” he recalled to MTV News when we chatted with the group backstage at Jingle Ball in L.A. Monday night. McGuiness was referring to various accounts that identified the woman in the Lohan fight as a psychic from Florida. “It was very odd,” he continued. “We actually carried on partying after that. It was reported that [the fight] was about Max, but I don’t think it actually was. But [Lohan] was a total sweetheart on the night, so our experience is quite positive.”
You don’t usually hear “sweetheart” and Lindsay Lohan in the same sentence so enjoy it while you can.
