Season four of The Vampire Diaries left yours truly confused, frustrated and completely unsatisfied. ”But Kelly, isn’t this the mark of a good season finale,” you may ask?
No. Season one’s finale was a cliff-hanger, if I’ve ever seen one. Katherine (Nina Dobrev) showed her face for the very first time, and tricked Damon (Ian Somerhalder) into thinking she was Elena.
It was epic.
This time around, I wasn’t so impressed. Silas somehow managed to follow Stefan (Paul Wesley) out to that island quarry where he once lay, and now Stefan’s stuck in a vault under water. Ugh.
Fast-forward to season five (per the promo): Katherine is human (someone kill her soon, please), Elena and Damon trade L-Bombs and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) gets into fisticuffs at school. Oh yeah, and he’s alive again.
