‘The Vampire Diaries’ Cast At The Teen Choice Awards, New Season Promises ‘Hot Vampire Sex’ [PHOTOS]

My DVR is really pumped up for fall TV (sorry, Bravo.  There’s only so much of you I can handle), and what it’s most excited for is the return of The Vampire Diaries.  Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham, Nina Dobrev, Michael Trevino, Paul Wesley and Candice Accola reminded fans last night at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards that season four is just around the corner (sort of-October 11th).

TV Guide’s William Kleck got some fantastic scoop from executive producer Julie Plec, who promised crazy, hot vampire sex and a new character.  Tell us more!

Newbie April (Grace Phipps) is a boarding school student who returns to Mystic falls under tragic circumstances.  She and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) reconnect for the first time since April went away.  “It will be interesting to see where they go with that,” McQueen said. “But he and Bonnie still have some unfinished business.”

The fourth episode goes back 900 years to educate us a bit more on Rebekah (Claire Holt), who is looking for a place to live.  “The Salvatore house is huge,”  Somerhalder told Kleck. “And so is Damon’s bed!”  You are so bad!

Ok now to the good stuff.

Plec revealed that Elena has her “first hot vampire sex,” but kept mum on whether it was Damon, Stefan, Klaus, Matt or Elijah.  “Elena saved Matt’s life, so he’s going to end up paying it forward in a very peculiar way.”  I literally don’t know what that means, but I’m intrigued nonetheless.

Dobrev’s take? “It’s like she’s going through puberty and vampire sex is going to feel like her first time.”

I can’t friggin’ wait.
