Leave it to Duchess Catherine to be the one bright beacon in an otherwise solemn day over in England.
Sunday marked the celebration of Remembrance Day, which remembers the armistice ending World War I. All of England wears black, the troops young and old show off their medals and uniforms and the royal family all look practically perfect.
Kate looked gorgeous as always wearing a recycled Diane Von Furstenberg coat–the same one she wore to last year’s Remembrance day services–and a Philip Treacy hat she wore in 2006. She completed the look with pearls by Annouska and a poppy brooch from the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Shop. The Duchess wasn’t the only royal wearing a winning look.
Standing right next to her the whole time, and even sharing a private laugh or two, was Sophie, Countess of Wessex. The Countess was also quite stunning in a black Chloe coat, solitaire drops from Heavenly Necklaces and a pretty adorable pill box hat designed by Jane Taylor Millinery. Leave it to the royals to find the hat I’ve always wanted.
We didn’t see too much of Prince William or Queen Elizabeth, although we did catch a glimpse of each of them laying a wreath on the Cenotaph, lead by the Queen of course. See, this is how you’re supposed to honor your veterans. With beautiful, somber festivities and by wearing the perfect black outfit.
Honestly, those Brits do everything right. Launch the gallery to check out all the photos of the Royals from the event. What do you guys think of Kate’s recycled outfit? Perfect? And I love how Sophie is suddenly getting her name in the spotlight, don’t you? Leave us your thoughts in the comments!
