The Royal Wedding’s Top Ten Moments

April 28th, 2012 // Leave a Comment

In what was quite possibly the grandest and happiest occasion of the 21st century, Prince William married commoner Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey on April 29th, 2011.

People traveled from all over the world and lined the streets to see Middleton’s McQueen gown and all the pomp and circumstance that Britain had to offer.

From the moment William and Catherine announced their engagement at Clarence House, the palace planned every detail down to the minute to ensure that everything went off without a hitch on the big day.  And that it did.

The mood was electric and there wasn’t a snafu in the schedule.  Older generations welled up outside the abbey when the national anthem was played, while ex-pats in Paris were glued to pub televisions.  No one could escape the giddy feeling.  It was like the Norwalk virus.

A year has passed, and we look back on that day with such fond memories.  Launch the gallery to check out our top ten picks from the royal wedding.
