The royal baby has finally arrived! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray!
It has been announced that Kate Middleton has given birth to a baby boy!
The new baby was born at St Mary’s hospital in London, after the expectant mum was admitted around 6.30 am on Monday, having gone into labour at Kensington Palace, where she spent the weekend with Prince William.
He weighed eight pounds six ounces and was delivered in the Lindo wing of the hospital at 4.24. The new mum and baby are said to be doing well.
Royal tradition could mean that the newborn’s name is not announced for at least a week.
Kate was tended to during her labour by a top medical team led by the Queen’s former gynaecologist Marcus Setchell.
Congrats to the family!
