Hats In Luxembourg
The finest millinery that royalty can buy.
It turns out that my fascination with royalty extends to continental Europe, because I was all about last weekend’s wedding of Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and Countess Stephanie de Lannoy.  It was no Will and Kate extravaganza, but I was still jazzed about the tiaras, big deal names and incestuous history present at the two-day event.

We all know how much I adore the Duchess of Cambridge, but her Alice Temperley dress from Tuesday night need not make another appearance ever again.  Kate, you’re my girl, but you need to burn that dress.  You’re still #REEM, though.

Author Megan Mulry came on the show to discuss her new book, A Royal Pain (out November 1st).  It’s a fantastic read that I couldn’t put down, mainly because the entire time I was thinking: “Why can’t this happen to me?”  Mulry discussed with us her reasons for writing the book, and what she finds so interesting about the concept of royalty.

Attention, TDD fans!  We are giving away one copy of A Royal Pain to a lucky viewer.  To enter, email your favorite royal to socialitelife.contest@gmail.com by Wednesday, October 31st at 11:59 PM.

Lastly, we’d like to congratule What Kate Wore for landing a spot on Time Magazine’s Top 25 blogs of 2012.  They’re a right royal fashion source, and we’re proud to call the staff there our friends.

PS-For those of you wondering: William and Kate will not watch the Patriots vs Rams NFL game at Wembley Stadium this coming Sunday.  However, reps at Clarence House told me that they’ll be tuning in, so I urged them to root for the Pats.
