The holiday season officially kicks off tomorrow with a feast fit for those who left England.

The Duchess Diary highlights a few favorite brands, one of which is also popular with a certain young gal-about-town.  London-based jewelry boutique Johanna Simonds sources gorgeous pieces from around the world, featuring unique designer pieces at very reasonable prices.  Pippa Middleton has been seen wearing many a pair of earrings from the boutique, which now offers international shipping.

I could spend hours on end looking at Butter London‘s site.  The British nail polish brand has not only the most eye-catching colors available, but also the most entertaining names.

Fash Pack, Royal Navy, Two Fingered Salute, Trout Pout…the list goes on.  They also rolled out a special edition color just in time for the royal wedding.

Another one on my list is The Bradford Exchange, my new favorite site for royal odds and ends, like this little beauty.

We also asked political analyst Emily Saunders some pressing questions about British Parliament.  What exactly does it mean for Queen Elizabeth to “open” her country’s government?  And what’s with all the pomp and pageantry?
