Currently on her “Speak Now” world tour, Taylor Swift sported many a girl-about-town look during her 24 hours in London earlier this week. From a little red dress to an off-the-shoulder crocheted sweater, Swift looked as if she stepped out of her own music video. Each look was soft, safe and very “Taylor.” Sometimes I wonder if Laura Ashley‘s gotten in touch with her about becoming their spokeswoman.
London’s Daily Mail reports that 21-year-old Swift left her hotel in a red sundress for a radio interview Monday morning. A few hours later she traded that constricting number for a floral dress topped with an oversized cream sweater. Somewhere along the way, the cream sweater was switched out for a white cardigan.
For her last publicity stop at The One Show, Taylor chose a red one-shoulder number to make the pre-teen gents scream “be my prom queen!” Drawn on her hand was the singer’s lucky number 13 (or maybe the number of some hometown quarterback). During the interview, the show’s hosts played a track of Swift singing the National Anthem ten years ago, which took her by surprise. She said, “Oh my God, I was terrified. I’m from Pennsylvania, so I think I was really nervous because I knew all my classmates were watching. I was obviously so terrified but it’s funny to look back and think that is actually 10 years ago now. Wow!”
Swift will take her tour to Manchester, Belfast and Dublin before returning to London’s O2 arena next Wednesday.
