Actor Taylor Kitsch attended the premiere of his film John Carter at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live Stadium 14 last night (February 22) in Los Angeles, California.
Kitsch was all smiles as he greeted some female fans (plus one little fan) and posed for the swarming cameramen at the special screening event. The actor playing the titular hero in the novel-adapted movie looked dapper in a traditional two-piece black suit.
This $250 million film is off to a trouble start even before the film opens. Early box-office tracking estimates for the film are extremely weak. “The geek generation isn’t responding. It’s too weird for the family audience. Then it has the Disney brand and PG-13? I’m not sure who it’s for,” says a rival studio executive who requested anonymity for fear of burning bridges in Hollywood.
One of the most common complaints about the marketing for Disney’s upcoming sci-fi adventure John Carter is that no one knows what the heck it’s about. However, a fan made movie trailer for the film changes all that. Watch it after the jump.
John Carter opens in theaters across the U.S. on March 9.
