Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki At The 39th Annual People's Choice Awards

After spending 9 years dealing with witches, monsters, demons, devils and way, way more crazy things on their hit show Supernatural, it comes as no surprise that Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki have started to believe in that stuff themselves.

“I firmly believe things happen for a reason. That may sound melodramatic but I don’t believe in coincidences,” Jared told reporters.
“I also believe we’re not the only living creatures in this universe.” Well yeah, that is for sure.

While either has yet to experience real supernatural activity, they’re ready for it.

“I wouldn’t call myself superstitious, but I do suspect there’s more between heaven and earth, even hell,” Jensen explained. “I’m open to spiritual experiences, although I didn’t need any salt yet to ward off evil spirits from my home.” You don’t just need salt for evil spirits, you can even use it after people with negative energy show up.

Also, fun fact guys, all the things they do on Supernatural are based on real techniques. According to Jensen, “I’ve been told that the majority of the stuff we do on the show — the tools of trade, wordings, spells, hexes and exorcism — are all actual things taken from research. So I’m going to go on that and hope that if I ever do run into something supernatural in real life, I’ve had eight years of experience to combat it.”

Those are some good skills to have. OK folks, I need your help. I’ve been watching Supernatural on and off for several years, but I can’t seem to catch up because it seriously scares me. Does it continue to be super scary all the way through season 9? Cause I need to sleep at night. Let me know in the comments, and leave us your own thoughts on the supernatural there too.

I can tell you this much; In later seasons almost all of the ghost stuff is gone, which for me has always been the scariest part… There’s more evolved and elaborate story lines that take up entire seasons. Some of which I believe to be truly original on the entire TV platform. The show’s take on heaven and hell, and whatever creatures come from both, is amazingly elaborate. I would definitely suggest you catch up all the way to current episodes, and when you get scared just think of Jensen’s beautiful eyes to calm your nerve.

All the best from a big (dutch) fan of the show, as well as this website.
