For those of you “Freaks and Geeks” lovers out there like me, you’re probably smiling a self-satisfied smile to see that Seth Rogen is riding high on the success of his comedy, “Knocked Up,” in which he starred opposite Katherine Heigl. Now, Rogen is looking for another hit this summer, in “Superbad,” which he co-wrote and and plays a wacky police officer.
“We wrote it in high school, mostly, so something would happen to us Monday, we’d write it in on Tuesday,” Rogen tells ET. “Our whole goal for writing it was making a very realistic portrayal of our high school experience … It’s really funny to see it re-enacted.”
Starring Michael Cera (of my beloved “Arrested Development”) and Jonah Hill as a couple of nerdy high-schoolers trying to impress some girls, the premiere was attended by the film’s stars, as well as other celebrities like David Spade and Rumer Willis. Also, I love that Janice Dickinson is posing her ass off, while her Janice Dickinson Model Agency reject stands beside her, stone-faced and completely demoralized as she forces him to accompany her in public in a half-shirt. Welcome to show business, guy.
