Style Star: Sophie, Countess of Wessex At Luxembourg’s Royal Wedding [PHOTOS]

On Friday’s episode of The Duchess Diary, we focused on Sophie, Countess of Wessex’s chic ensembles.  This weekend, Her Royal Highness, along with Prince Edward, represented the Queen at Luxembourg’s royal wedding.

At Friday night’s dinner gala, Sophie wore a gorgeous army green one-shoulder gown by Bruce Oldfield (thanks to @AnnieElizabethN for that tip), accessorized with a tiara that – I believe – is on loan from Her Majesty.  Buckingham Palace could not comment on any details of Sophie’s jewelry, as the pieces are privately owned.

According to the Royal Post and Tiara Mania, Queen Elizabeth was gifted with a larger Brazilian Aquamarine Tiara by the people of Brazil in 1957 as a coronation gift.

In 1968, the Queen was gifted a smaller aquamarine tiara by the Governer of Sao Paul.  This may be the very tiara Sophie wore to the gala dinner.

On Saturday (October 20th), the Countess of Wessex wore Emilia Wickstead’s Francis organza horse-print dress, though Sophie’s cut is a bit different from what we see online.  Atop HRH’s head was a hat by milliner Jane Taylor.

What do you think of Sophie’s style?  Does she give Kate a run for her money?

Be sure to ask any and all questions about royalty, and we’ll do our best to answer them.
