No leader in today’s world has had more success than Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. Not since Victoria has a British monarch celebrated sixty years on the throne, and no doubt the Queen will want all attention focused on the hard work put into celebrations over the next four days rather than herself.
Forgive us, ma’am, but we are so pleased to take part in the remarkable milestone you’ve arrived at. You were only 25 when you had to ascend the throne, but you’ve made it your duty since February 6th, 1952 to rule over the United Kingdom and 15 other Commonwealth realms.
While it’s common knowledge that there is really no right way to address the Queen (well, you must be polite. Don’t embarrass me), I’ve been practicing my curtsy juuuust in case. It feels right!
Long Live The Queen! Long Live The Queen! Long Live The Queen!
