Shia Labeouf Promotes Wall Street In Cannes, Says Transformers 3 Won’t Suck
The cast of Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps arrived at the 63rd Annual Cannes Film Festival, Carey Mulligan looking sweet in an adorable Prada dress and Shia LaBeouf even cleaned it up a bit as they joined Michael Douglas and Josh Brolin for a photo call up on the roof.
Shia, who starts filming the next Transformers on Tuesday, did more than look pretty for some pictures. He spoke honestly, one of the reasons we love him, about why the Transformers sequel sucked and why the next one will be better. And Megan Fox is still in, so you guessed wrong.
“When I saw the second movie, I wasn’t impressed with what we did,” LaBeouf said in an interview today (May 13) at the Film Festival. “There were some really wild stunts in it, but the heart was gone. We got lost. We tried to get bigger. Mike went so big that it became too big, and I think you lost the anchor of the movie. … You lost a bit of the relationships. Unless you have those relationships, then the movie doesn’t matter. Then it’s just a bunch of robots fighting each other.”
But it’s not all shit talking, otherwise Michael Bay might start considering Justin Bieber for his role. Shia is excited for Transformer’s 3 which seems to be heavily recruiting talent. “There’s going to be a lot of death, human death. This time, they’re targeting humans,” LaBeouf said. “It’s going to be the craziest action movie ever made, or we failed.” No pressure.
