The writers at the Daily Dish must be chomping on some funny brownies to report on something that hasn’t happened yet, as if it happened.
Animal activists made diners at Jennifer Lopez’s Pasadena, Calif., restaurant Madre’s a little uneasy Thursday as they showed them images of animals skinned alive over lunch. [Daily Dish]
It takes place today between 5:30-8 p.m.
SFGate.com’s Daily Dish column reports that PETA held (note: past tense) a rally outside of Madre’s, J. Lo’s Pasadena restaurant, today. The animal rights group supposedly protested against Lopez’s fur-laden Sweetface fashion collection by showing images of animals skinned alive:
They also paraded large posters of Lopez with the words “Fur Hag” attached and placards featuring images of orphaned animals and the caption “J. Lo: These Babies Miss Their Mother — Is She on Your Back?” as diners tried to eat lunch.
Why hasn’t anyone else picked up the story? Maybe because it didn’t happen. Yet. It’s scheduled for 5:30pm today (yesterday now). We may have tipped off the restaurant when we called to verify the SFGate.com story. Ooops! [LA.comfidential]
