Justin who? Breaking what? Playah please, Selena Gomez was all about the ladies last night (November 12th) at Glamour‘s Women of The Year Awards at Carnegie Hall in New York.
Gomez wore a white Giambattista Valli white peplum dress (quite the ladylike hemline, if I do say so), and was honored at the ceremony for work in TV, film, fashion, and music, according to the Huffington Post. The December cover girl was also recognized for being UNICEF’s youngest-ever American ambassador.
“I just want to share to all the girls out there that you have a voice, that you have a chance to do what you love, whether that is acting or singing. And just being true to who you are,” Gomez said in her acceptance speech. ”The person that’s taught me that better than anyone is my mom. She is so strong and beautiful and has taught me everything, so thank you.”
I can’t believe that Andy Cohen went from the Women of The Year awards back to the Bravo Clubhouse for Watch What Happens Live. You really are a shark, Cohen!
Let’s see, who else was there last night… Ooh! The high priestess of fashion herself, Diane von Furstenberg, the incomparable Lauren Hutton, little button Gabby Douglas, Chelsea Clinton, Lena Dunham, gorgeous Louise Roe. Good crew, good crew.
