Scarlett Johansson’s Silken Floss Character Was Tailor-Made

So taken with Scarlett Johansson‘s “sense of comic timing” and “her wry humor” was director Frank Miller, that he decided to re-write the character of Silken Floss for The Spirit.

Hoping to capitalize on Johansson’s unique qualities, Miller said that he thought to himself, “OK, the character is kind of a repressed astrophysicist, but how did she spend her 20s?” And it was from there that he crafted the younger version of the character from the graphic novel series.

Just in case you were wondering “wry humor” and “comic timing” are code for Bouncy Breast Number One and Bouncy Breast Number Two.
