Wearing a Michael Kors dress and Jimmy Choo heels, Scarlett Johansson hosted a fundraiser for mayoral candidate Scott Stringer at the Plaza Hotel in New York City last night (October 3rd).
The cocktail party, with tickets costing $2500 a head, featured a speech by The Avengers star, who said that Stringer’s “passion for New York is contagious,” according to the Daily Mail.
NYC-born Johansson has always had a passion for politics, said of the candidate, “We share a love for this city’s diversity and culture. As a native New Yorker with a political history dedicated to community development, Scott’s priorities echo my own.”
Johannson’s grandmother worked for the politician in the 80s, and her twin brother has worked on his campaign in the past.
