Guess who’s back? Back again. Buffy’s back. Tell a friend! Well, sorta. Sarah Michelle Gellar is back anyway, and just where she should be on the CW (former WB home to Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Sarah was just at Comic-Con talking about her new show Ringer.
According to E! News, the show is about identical twin sisters who hate each other. Lucky Sarah get to double on this role! One sister has the rich, hot as shit husband, played by Ioan Gruffudd, who is also having an affair with her best friend’s husband, played by Kristoffer Polaha. The other sister is a witness in a murder trial and getting help from none other than eye-liner man himself, Nestor Carbonell. The things go wrong, and it starts to get super complicated.
Just Jared quotes Sarah as telling the crowd, “I knew I wanted to come back to television.” Which is really quite fantstic for us, cause TV hasn’t been the same without her. According to creator Eric Charmelo, “At the end of the day, it’s a character study about twin sisters and the nature of sibling rivalry. It’s about identity, and redemption, and revenge. And just when you think you’ve figured something out, we’re going to throw a wrench into the equation and take it on a completely different tangent. It keeps things fresh.”
I’m kinda excited about this show! Mostly, I want to understand what the fuck it’s about, so I guess that means I’m gonna have to watch it. Oh Comic-Con. You bring us such magical things like Hugh Jackman showing up and telling people about Wolverine 2, True Blood costars Alexander Skarsgard and Ryan Kwanten partying and you bring me back my Sarah. Check out the gallery to see how good Sarah looks, plus the other three reasons I’ll be watching the show: her super hot co-stars.
