Sarah Jessica Parker Doesn’t Want ‘Sex And The City’ Prequel
Sarah Jessica Parker is interested in making a Sex And The City 3 but is not fully supporting the idea of a movie telling the story of a teenage Carrie Bradshaw. Parker, photographed on set of her new movie with Olivia Munn, I Don’t Know How She Does It, in Brooklyn Heights, New York on Februrary 16th, talked to the LA Times recently about making one and final Sex And The City movie.
SJP said about returning to SATC, “I think there’s one more story to tell. I know there is.” Could SJP be talking about a final chapter where Carrie and Mr. Big have a baby? Possibly. SJP said she would like to return for a third movie but saying maybe in five years.
During those five years of thinking, fans might have more Carrie Bradshaw coming there way in the form of 20-something-year-old’s. Summer And The City, Candace Bushnell’s second SATC prequel is hitting bookshelves soon and there has been talk about a movie adaptation. Fans are wanting Blake Lively to play the young Carrie Bradshaw.
The idea of a prequel isn’t thrilling to SJP, she says “I don’t think we can pretend to go back,” she continued. “It’s creating two histories. It’s like, ‘Oh I didn’t know that about Carrie Bradshaw.'”
