Wearing a sleeveless tweed shift by Chanel and a dramatic fascinator by milliner Philip Treacy, Sarah Jessica Parker greeted 1500 female fans at the VRC Oaks Club Ladies Luncheon at Crown Palladium today (November 2nd) in Melbourne, Australia.
The fascinator, shaped like the exterior of a seashell, stood out among the many headpieces that decorated the lively crowd. Though some critics had a few choice words to describe SJP’s piece of flair, I for one applaud her “go big or go home” attitude. The star is currently in Australia to promote I Don’t Know How She Does It.
Treacy told Australia’s Herald Sun that he made the fascinator especially for the occasion, spending 200 hours putting together the silk and fiber number.”Fashion is about suspense and surprise, so tomorrow she is going to surprise everyone as well,” the famous milliner said of Parker. “She’s the ultimate fashion icon.”
