Sandra Bullock Loves Her ‘Cajun Cookie’

August 31st, 2010 // 4 Comments

Sandra Bullock chatted with Matt Lauer this morning on the Today Show to talk about her adopted city of New Orleans and her new adopted son, Louis, her little ‘Cajun cookie.’ Love that!

“No one understands the shift in priorities about having a child in your life that you are responsible for, until you have a child in your life,” she said. “It naturally shifts. It just shifted the first day I met him. It was like he’d been there the whole time, yet everything was different.”

When the adoption finally went through, Bullock says, she wasn’t the only one who was thrilled. “Oh, he likes to celebrate. He likes to dance and celebrate,” she says. “You know what, I got blessed. I got lucky. He’s extraordinary.”

Check out the full interview from the show after the jump! And check out the other shots of her at the school dedication ceremony she attended on Sunday.

I have to say, I’m much more compelled by Sandy as a person than as an actress.

Cajun Cookie? Hmmmm… isn’t that a little racist?

“Cajun” isn’t a negative racist slur – The Cajuns are a local Louisiana Ethnic group who speak a mixture of French and their own dialect. It’s a bona fide term for people of that origin.
