Sandra Bullock’s Messy Honor

September 25th, 2013 // Leave a Comment

Sandra Bullock got a little dirty today (September 25, 2013) as she was immortalized with a hand and footprint ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. The mother of one looked gorgeous as usual, and seemed very appreciative of the honor.

In a recent interview with Vogue magazine Sandra discussed the way her son Louis (who attended the ceremony) has changed her. She said, “Work was my life before. Now I have no reason to leave home”.

Come January 1, 2014, at least in California, Sandra and little Louis won’t have to worry about the harassing paparazzi while being out and about. It will be a misdemeanor to attempt to photograph or videotape a child in a harassing manner if the image is being taken because the child’s parent is a celebrity or public official.

Entertainment Tonight got Bullock’s reaction to the passing of the bill. “It was passed! I didn’t know it was passed! Are you kidding? That is amazing! [Before] we [were] fair game, do whatever you want to us, it [was] almost like child slave labor, it shouldn’t be photographed and sold. Let them be kids, don’t let them live in fear. If they turn 18 and want to be an actor, they’ve dug their own grave on that one. [Halle Berry and Jennifer Garner] went out and fought hard for it, and we’re grateful.”

Berry released her own statement on the passing of the bill. “On behalf of my children, it is my hope that this is the beginning of the end for those overly aggressive paparazzi whose outrageous conduct has caused so much trauma and emotional distress.”

So what does that mean for you. There will be a lot less photos of Jennifer Garner, Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Hilary Duff and other celebrity moms on the internet and in magazines.
