Ryan Reynolds showed his appreciation for the men and women who serve this country at an early screening of The Green Latern in San Diego. Although reviews from critics have been harsh, guests of the event were excited about the event. The sold-out event was held at MCAS Mirmar’s Bob Hope Theatre where some ticket-holders showed up as early as 4:30 a.m. Thursday in order to get a good seat.
In addition to introducing his new film, Reynolds also thanked the crowd of military personnel and their families for their sacrifice. Local San Diego news media, La Mesa Courier, wrote of Reynold’s address:
“The actor acknowledged that, although the film features fictional, intergalactic characters overcoming fear with courage, the men and women at MCAS Miramar perform such feats every day. He thanked the crowd for allowing him to visit and expressed his gratitude for their service.”
Reynolds took time during the event to sign autographs, talk to guests, and to take pictures. It’s so nice to write about a celebrity doing something nice. You know, something other than partying, flashing, or walking a red carpet.
Doesn’t Reynolds look adorable grinning in his green bomber jacket?
