Ryan Gosling’s ‘Lost River’ Got Booed At Cannes Despite The Fact That He And Matt Smith Are Very Attractive
The actor’s directorial debut Lost River premiered at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday to less than positive reviews. In fact, there were lots of boos–kind of like Ryan Reynolds’ movie. Wow, it’s not a good festival for Ryans.
My personal favorite reaction was a Tweet from Grantland’s Wesley Morris which read, “If a $200 haircut and $900 shades were given lots of money to defecate on Detroit, the result would be Ryan Gosling’s directing debut.” So harsh!
Matt Smith was good, so that’s positive. I’m looking forward to more of him now that he won’t be appearing on my TV screen whenever Steven Moffat wants in Doctor Who. Now I’m seeing the Lost River trailer in a whole new light.
The folks in it are still attractive, but I’m wondering if I even want to see it anymore. Eh, who am I kidding? I will still watch this movie. I’ll even try to refrain from booing. Launch the gallery to check out all the photos from the red carpet premiere. Can you imagine booing a movie with he director there? Have you ever done it? Let us know in the comments!
