Ryan Gosling was spotted being greeted with a hug from a female crew member as he’s welcomed back for reshoots of Gangster Squad yesterday (August 21, 2012) in Los Angeles, California.
Though Gosling seemed happy to be back, the reshoot definitely carry a somber mood. Due to the Aurora, Colorado Dark Knight Rises massacre, an eerily similar movie theater shooting scene in Gangster Squad had to be replaced.
Ryan will return to Toronto, Canada for the Toronto Film Festival to premiere his latest film The Place Beyond the Pines. The film, which co-stars Bradley Cooper and Gosling’s girlfriend Eva Mendes (also attending the fest), re-teams Gosling with his Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance.
Other celebs set to hit the red carpet next month include James Franco, Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Robert Redford, Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Colin Firth, Kate Hudson, Kiefer Sutherland, Jake Gyllenhaal and Adam Sandler.
The festival is set to open with the Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt time travel flick Looper.
